Culture.
In this municipality an important example of Canary traditional architecture has been conserved. Excellent quality wines are harvested in the region.
Among the local celebrations those of the Santo Cristo del Calvario, in El Tanque, on the Sunday following September 14th, are outstanding. The Livery Dance is part of the tradition, accompanied to the sound of the “tajaraste”. A massive pilgrimage takes place on June 13 th for San Antonio de Padua.
